Masterpieces of mid-war architecture in Kolonaki

A building on the corner of Ploutarchou & Charitos streets.

Strolling around Kolonaki, one shouldn’t miss some thrilling examples of mid-war Athens architecture, a style that followed neoclassicism and was very much alike what we call «the modern movement» (but more suitable for the well-off residential neighbourhoods of the fast-growing greek capital).

My personal favorites are the building at Dexameni square (seen below) and the one on the corner of Ploutarchou & Charitos street.

Check them out… Aren’t they masterpieces or what? And how good they look under a clear blue athenian sky!
