Dimitris goes to AthensWas design hotel – and the Acropolis

A few days ago I decided to spend a whole weekend playing tourist in my own city. I thought it would be refreshing & fun… it definitely was!

And what would have been a better hotel choice than the amazing AthensWas, a fine member of the Design Hotels, located in the very heart of the metropolis, so close to the Acropolis?

My spacious room of classic modernism design was on the 5th floor with a breathtaking view of the Acropolis & the Parthenon. The service was friendly though discreet, the à la carte breakfast rich & yummy!

But what took me by surprise was the rooftop restaurant called MODERN, where one can have an excellent dinner (+ cocktails!) while enjoying a powerful 360º view of the Athens center. Check the pics below for more info!
